Once again me and yudyud are as one on this. Pop music is not an entity in itself, it can not really be like and disliked as a whole, moreover you can hate some of it and like some of it. I for one love Take That, I think they are living icons of the British pop scene, I can't stand McFly because they are blatant band-wagon jumpers to the Busted craze, whom I quite liked due to them being somewhat original. I can't stand Lilly Allen as a person, and as each time I hear one of her songs I am reminded of how much I dislike her, and thus dislike the song playing, Pavlov’s dog syndrome I guess you could say. I know that is technically not “hating” the pop song but rather hating it by proxy, but on the other hand, I can’t stand Boyzone, but like some of their songs, so there’s no rule really.
In summation, I have no summary. You can like/dislike what you want, be it direct or by association…………… oh, and Lilly Allen is pants.
I'm only 29 by the way.
