Even if he had moved and gotten a shiteload of moolah, I'm pretty sure his career would have taken a right nosedive. I'm chuffed he turned them down, and the cherry on the cake is that Robinho has gone AWOL. He ought to leave.

I can't believe that City are saying that one of the reasons the deal fell through is that Kaka wanted more money. They clearly know nothing at all about the man if they think that's a believable comment to make about him. If I was him, I'd sue them for that - but he won't, he's a much better person than I am.

I am finding the Robinho saga deeply amusing too.

I thought man city said all his dad wanted to talk about was money not kaka himself

Burnley have turned their 4-1 defeat at White Hart Lane round to see them in extra time at Turf Moor. 4-4, and technically with the slight advantage due to away goals counting prior to penalties.

Ahh, it's a cruel game. 3 minutes from going through, they lose 2 goals. Still, a phenomenal effort from the Championship side. Man United must be rubbing their hands in glee. If Spurs play like this, Man United will only have to turn up to win it.

United will be playing the kids though don't forget. I imagine they'll have a few guns on the bench though just in case.

I dunno, I wouldn't be surprised if the big guns were out for the final. They did it the last time they won the trophy. Kids got them there, first team won the cup. Only Arsenal have ever stuck with the kids all the way.

Well, Fergie keeps saying not - and more often than not in the last few seasons its his committment to using the kids in the Carling Cup that gets them knocked out. Still, it's hard to be all that bothered in reality, even if I do have to show an interest at home.

Yeah, diddy cup. I really wish they'd just scrap the league cup. Both sides of the border. There's just no need for two separate cups competitions.

Although I'll still be at our league cup semi final next week.

Another home win - if we had played like this in the first third of the season we'd be up there in the playoffs at least.

At one point last night I wondered if I was EVER going to get home. I've never actually seen a penalty shoot out go all the way back to the start before last night.

Still, we're in the final. And I'll be in New York when they play it. Manhattan #1 CSC for me...

I have always stuck up for Rafa but the last few games have been terrible and he needs to sort it out soon or pay by losing his job at the end of the season

I have never understood why Liverpool fans seem to like Rafa so much. He is a blithering fool and has proved both on and off the field over and over, not just this season. Even my poor brother in law (who is the only one of his family not born in Manchester, therefore decided to support Liverpool to piss his dad off) has been wanting to see the back of him for a couple of seasons now.

I must admit part of me will always love Rafa for his rant about Ferguson it was great and nearly everything he said was true, even most of my mates who are utd season ticket holders said it was true

We have put up with him yudster because he has made Liverpool a better team and took us to two champions league finals in 5 years some thing Ferguson has only mange twice in 23 years,he will be great again in Spain but i just don't think he will push Liverpool to the final part and win the league

I think everyone enjoyed Rafa's Rant, for a wide variety of reasons though. I reckon United fans enjoy it more though. Even us lowly League 1 team supporters got a lot of pleasure from it.

Sadly, it looks like Rafa's rant is going to be consigned to history in the same way Keegan's "I'd luv it" speech is. ie. The moment the title turned in Man United's favour.

Not if Liverpool continue to draw 70% of their games there isn't. But I hope they turn it around, starting this weekend.

That and the number of jammy 1-0 wins in the 90th minute United have managed to get this season. They're worse than us for winning it late.

Be fair though, most of those "jammy 1-0 wins" have followed 89 minutes or so of total domination, and with more incisive finishing could have been a string of West Broms. I still say there's a long way to go - it wasn't that long ago that United were 9 points off the lead with only 1 game in hand. If it can turn for them that quickly it can turn against them too.

We're at Carlisle tomorrow. Let's hope our away form keeps up, we really should be challenging those play off spots.

I'd settle for Villa getting a Champions League spot just to break the monotony. In the last five years, England have had the most consistent qualifiers for the Champions League out of any of the top leagues. What makes that statistic even funnier is they actually have been more consistent than Scotland where we have two places!

Well, when I say funny, it's because Hearts pipped Rangers and not us, but it's still a valid point...

Compare that with Spain. Over there it's basically Real Madrid, Barcelona and another two which varies every year. Bayern Munich missed out last season, AC Milan aren't there this season... yet in England it's always the same four. The only season it wasn't those four, you got five.
