Shocking how calmly it was dealt with this morning. I read one of the first news items on the internet from the BBC this morning stating it was not a power surge, confirmed by the National Grid, which was then followed by News Flashes across all channels and 154 news articles in the following 30mins claiming it was a power surge. The coverage was pretty poor on Tv this morning with no real details, all speculation.

What's the point of the images in this thread Dickied.. ? They're available everywhere..

On another forum i post on there was alot more activity, now 15 pages of posts so at the time it was keeping people up-to-date who were accessing things at work etc

Plus the BBC and Sky sites were very very slow around the time.

I was just thinking how pleased I am that I no longer work in London... The journey back to MK was a nightmare as it was.

Surely this will remove the smuggness that Londoners had of winning the olympics.

is it what they did after 9-11? it seems so weird here in america. the only people who care seem to be the drama mongers. i've had a couple of calls here looking for info on the tube stations affected.

its not so long ago that bombs were commonplace in this country though. Those who remember Birmingham / Manchester / Warrington I think take it in their stride more.
