Whats anything on this quiz? Not a clue on any of the questions. I feel very non-geeky.

A little geekness won't hurt anyone :D I strongly believe everyone is a little geeky about something, be it about a certain band, an author, a TV show or a fashion brand.

ok, I have an above average knowledge of Guitars. if you showed me a picture of a guitar chances are i could tell you the make and model of it. Some people would class me as being geeky for knowing this. I think its fair to say you have an above average knowledge of books...

yes, but you have a knowledge OF books, not just that you read them, If i gave you a book title you'd have a better chane than me of knowing the author. THATS what i was getting at.

Only because I'm more widely read than you. It doesn't make me a geek about books.

You are a book geek. The only person who thinks that is a bad thing is you. Stop arguing.

Even if none of the others, I would expect most people to be able to guess the first two.

To be fair, it's possible "Krypto" could have been a reference to Superman in another series.

I guess I am a bit of a table tennis geek relative to most people. Not compared to a lot of the people in the league though. I saw Balls of Fury yesterday.. it was shite. It would have been better, had Jack Black been in the main role, that sort of character is what he does best, but the guy who actually got the role (I didn't recognise him) seemed a bit forced. The shots were shite too.

Ooh, also I believe I'm a bit of an Only Fools fan too, though not the worst I've ever met.

I would agree there, as I have seen every episode about 20 times, although I must get round to getting them on DVD as they're all on VHS.............. Not too sure that that would make me a geek though, but not knowing the answers to all the sci-fi stuff made me feel almost normal!! Sci Fi geekery is almost comparable to train spotting, it's all about no mates and excessive solo sex.....

I don't think they were particularly geeky either. The following are (possibly except the second one): -

  1. e^(iπ) + 1 = ?
  2. What is at the beginning of eternity, and the end of time and space; the beginning of every end and the end of every place?
  3. If you look at a clock and the time is 3:15, what is the angle between the hour and the minute hands?
  4. The grand old Duke of York, he had 100 hundred men. He had them march up to the top of the hill and turn around and shake the hands of every man they passed. How many hand-shakes were there?
  5. Three horses are in a field, starting in a triangular formation, 100m apart from each other, facing the centre. Each horse starts running towards the horse to it's left until it meets the horse. Assuming that the horses are running at the same speed as each other, how far does each horse run?
  6. An old professor has decided to paint the 20 steps leading to his house. He buys two colours, red and blue, and paints the steps so that there aren't two blue steps next to each other. What is the name of the professor? (Hint: Find out how many permutations the steps can be painted in)

They're in a roughly ascending order of difficulty (the first is pretty common knowledge among maths geeks; most people should be able to get two and three though).

Ooh I know number 2 and 3 but the others are just beyond me, maths is not my strength! However bet I can find a book that would explain it all to me!
