I'll ask an invertebrate ecologist tomorrow what the point of wasps is. I want to know now.

In my previous ballbag manner we had a slight slug infection in the conservatory, where we used to keep the cat food. They were attracted by it I guess, because every morning we'd come down and see Elton and Lionel sitting by their dishes with cat food covered in little slimey trails all over it.... staring up at us as if to say "I may lick my balls and arse but I aint eating that".

Poor little chaps.

Vinegar soaked bread on pigeons... works wonders.

I take no responsibility for the above statement.

Slugs are one of my worst nightmares. I do really try to love all animals but slugs make it extremely difficult. Pigeons on the other hand I find quite amusing, even tho they are 'the rats of the sky'. Even vegan publications I've read acknowledge that sometimes culling is necessary. I seem to recall that the most humane way apparently is to take their eggs from the nests.

Sometimes you can't help it - it's when you walk down the garden path at night and every other step you hear *crunch* - oops, there's another snail!
