Thats generally the way, One of my Brothers got my mum a huge bunch of flowers and some very expensive chocolates, I got My mum a handcrafted bowl (which was nice but not expensive) and some pot pourri.
When My brother left she gave the chocolates to me for the kids, as they all had nuts in, and she couldn't eat them, she asked me to remove the lillies from the flowers because shes allergic to them,
But the bowl i had got was something she had been looking for.
I did feel a little sorry for my bro' although he is a poseur, and my mum did feign gratitude for the things he had bought her, I'm just glad she was chuffed with what I had got.
