Well he only died today. The evil twin killed him as he had found out that the good twin was in a coma in a hospital where Carmella was working. Although it wasn't on screen it's presumed evil twin killed him and was shown leaving to dump his body today

I read about that a while ago, apparently they are to replace the House of Trouser. THEY CAN NEVER REPLACE THEM.
