I'm annoyed by all the handshake controversy surrounding The QPR/Chelsea match. Firstly the handshake rule is silly anyway. Shake hands after the game has finished not at the start. Secondly there will be avoidance of handshakes apparently with Ferdinand and Terry/Ashley Cole. I'm not defending John Terry at all as he has proven to be an arsehole in recent times but what does a handshake mean? It doesn't mean Anton Ferdinand forgives him nor does it mean he is weaker than John Terry. For me if Anton Ferdinand offers his hand it shows he's the bigger man in this situation.

I agree its a complete tit-fest. But then I think its become clear in the last few months that footballers are generally not worthy of our consideration, let alone respect, as people or sportsmen. You'd think they'd have learned something over the summer, goodness knows they've had the opportunity, but not a chance.

Don't tar all footballers with the same brush. 90% of them keep their head down and get on with their jobs - the media coverage and minority skew their perception quite a lot.

There are plenty of athletes from other sports that are massive twats as well - doesn't mean all athletes are like that.

Also, people failing to understand why Radio 1 are aiming the breakfast show at a younger audience is annoying me.

I've skipped most of the content in General over the last few days, really because I haven't had time to go through it, its been building up so fast.

There's been a big increase in one of two of the regular posters' tone of voice - with some pretty ambiguous details being stated as fact (the type of thing that understandably some others were derided for) so I've been staying out of General for the reason that the content isn't that interesting at the moment (given that you've got to wade through a lot of rubbish at the moment).

Hopefully in a week's time it'll get to normal levels.

Once the bandwagon/newbie users start to get fed up, they'll run off into the distance. Shame they can't use the shiny search bar in the top right. Even if it was flashing red/black/white with a big noise saying "it's here!", they still wouldn't find it.*

*please don't implement that chris, i'm in enough pain already this morning when i heard just music between 6:30am - 7am. that's what annoyed me properly this morning. scott made no reference to chris moyles at all even during the discussion of being the sortest breakfast show on R1 (probably by request by the producers/execs). seems like they want him forgotten. bah. at least hirsty on his breakfast show (capital yorkshire) went some way acknowledge him in a funny way.

I've been wanting to do something outside of work to get me a bit fitter and saw a poster up in a shop I walked past for a beginners running club and all their sessions are in the morning when I would be working or getting ready for work. Rubbish.

Do it yourself. Just get some advice off realbuzz.com and build it up. Then you can do it after work and weekends. No point wasting any money at a club (if that's what it takes).
