My university. Turned up for what should have been my final exam ever, and the examiner didn't show up. It was only me due as well, as it was a presentation, so I was more or less stranded when the people at the office couldn't help me at all - "perhaps he's just running late" was their best advice.

Turned out the examiner had a problem with childcare at home (he has a disabled son) and he 'forgot all about me'. I can understand why he had to stay home, but an email or something would have been nice.

I just switched from Smile to Nationwide and so far they've been great. Smile wouldn't even let me keep my £350 overdraft and repeatedly harassed me to pay it back at a faster rate than I could afford (bearing in mind they know exactly what I earn!) Even when I wrote to customer services pleading with them, explaining how stressful the constant requests to pay it back were and citing how long I'd been a reliable customer for, it didn't help a scrap. I assumed that it must be cos my credit rating is through the floor, but NW have happily given me a credit card with no hassle at all, so it can't be that bad.
