I am of the belief the bad things you do in life always catch up with you in the end. Judging on what Terry has done in his life thus far he has a lot of bad things coming his way.

I have concluded that I need to go into the office for a couple of hours on Saturday morning. This is something I don't approve of - if you can't get your work done in the time allocated (for me that would be 9 - 5 Mon - Fri) then I tend to think either you are being given too much work in which case it is your line manager's responsibility to manage your workload better so that this doesn't happen, or you are inefficient and possibly crap at your work. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I have discovered there is a third option - The Crisis.

Its going to be a bumpy few weeks.

Yes, I've been the same.

I feel stupid now, thinking back to how upset I was...and I still feel it now. I'm just not sure how i'm going to cope not listening to Chris in the mornings after so many years. :(

Don't worry about it. To use therapy-speak, this is a safe space. We won't judge you for being upset here :)

I had a big trolley full of stuff all scanned-and-go'd in Sainsbury's and the damn place caught fire. Had to abandon my shopping and flee for the hills. Well, the car park. Hopefully they will open tomorrow.

Guess they fed the Yudster.

Annoying me is I think I may have put my contact lenses in the wrong eyes, but I've no idea if I did or not, til I put them in again, cos they were doing my head in.

It was funny actually, there was a lot of smoke from the bakery and all the sprinklers came on. It was raining harder outside though. I hung around to check out the three appliance-loads of firefighters though. After all, I AM a woman.

Annoying me today is being away from a computer all weekend and the sheer volume of posts to read on here today! Coupled with a hangover... :|

Someone at work has almost pushed me to tears, blaming me for a mistake that wasn't mine and trying to make me look bad in front of a senior colleague in an aggressive manner and claiming that I haven't been doing things that fall under my job role (which they don't).

I'm just praying that the phone rings and offers me they job I'm waiting to hear from. Yesterday I flew to Aberdeen and back for work, and almost lost the will to carry on. Today (albeit due to the nastiness of one person) has left me feeling even more broken.

Combined with my situation of constantly stressing out about the flat being messy/dirty, and me being the only one who cleans it - and the DJ who plays music on the other side of my bedroom door, the upstairs neighbours putting together furniture ALL THE TIME and then leaving their dogs out on the balcony at 1am while simultaneously putting the washing machine on and the heavy workload currently - my trip to Barcelona on Thursday for my dad's 65th should be welcomed, but I'm just terrified about the inbox I'll come back to on Tuesday morning.

Sorry to hear of your woes, but Aberdeen does that to people.

Why do you want a Mini? In an age where cars are getting smaller but with astonishingly more space inside them, the Mini is getting bigger and bigger on the outside and has less and less space in it. They are expensive, not particularly economical to run, and nowhere near as much fun as a lot of other cars. Plus they are BMWs - I repeat, why??!

I love them! A friend of mine has an older version and I have driven it about a bit and fell in love. The new ones have Olympic decal!!!!! It's the icing on the cake! Alas a new one is a bit out of my price range but I am looking into getting a second hand one. My girlfriend feels the same as you about it, I will have to buy her a bag of cashew nuts to win her round.

Mrs Duck has a (real) Mini Cooper. The BMW ones aren't Minis, they are ladies one series!

Oh now a REAL Mini, now you're talking. They were less a car, more a family pet. More loyal and willing than any dog, more guile and cunning than any cat, cute as a chipmunk and as much personality as - as - as something with more personality than any animal.

I used to have a little black Mini 850. It got stolen once and the police found it fifty miles up the A12 with the engine blown - what could I do, I had to find a donor and get it a transplant. Thing was, there were no Mini 850 engine donors in any of the breaker's yards so we gave him a 1000cc engine and hoped for the best. When he came out of the anaesthetic we didn't know what to expect, but he was better than ever - and a LOT faster!

Calmly and quietly talk to your manager, print out any emails that may be relevant to show that you did what you should have done and if needs be, get HR involved. Try not to let it get to you. And if that fails, smack shit out of them in the car park.

Back to what annoys me, getting up this early to go running. It's not natural.

why can't America just learn to appreciate British TV for what it is, rather than trying to remake it in their image?

I've always wondered about that, really annoying. Cos we buy up enough of their crap.

They've just turned it into a generic American high school show. I wonder if they'll be recreating 'wanking over a photo of an old lady in a retirement home', 'doing a fashion show with one ball hanging out' and 'stripping naked on a fishing boat before punching a fish to death'?...
