You have more than one? Which dinosaurs? And don't say Barney.

Everyone in my building (work) just received an email informing us that the water will be turned off between 9 and 2pm next Tuesday, and that we should prepare for it to be off during the whole of that period. We have a storage tank that holds approx. 2000 litres, but they may not last long for a building with 50+ people.

We're being told, among other things, to limit our use of the toilets (or use the nearest public ones, which are half a mile away at the harbour) and use hand sanitizers instead of the sinks to wash our hands.

I'm not massively bothered about this myself, but am I right in thinking that we should really be sent home (or in this case, have the morning off) for health and safety reasons? :? It doesn't seem right being made to work as normal for 5 hours without a water supply. What if there was an emergency and someone needed first aid or something?

I'm sure there health and safety rules enforced for things a lot more trivial than this.

The similarities continue.

If there's no running water, then it's my understanding that you can't have employees working in the environment.

Here's a bit more info

Thanks for that! :) I was considering replying and had been hoping to find some back-up like that. I don't know whether the 2000l of stored water maybe covers them though.

That's pretty much me too - even though I have a giant cross tattooed on my forearm (and often one around my neck too), people are still sometimes surprised that I'm religious. The only difference really is that I do still go to church on occasion, although not often these days. With the creationism, I just wanted to play devil's advocate. I don't own any dinosaur T shirts, although I would quite like one.

You just wanted to exacerbate my hangover, admit it.

And this picture sums it all up for me - the British Summer.

A sacred sanctuary designed for fun and good times - in ruins. :(

I found both of my cats who died in thick bushes. In this weather they will always go somewhere they can stay dry. Hope you find your cat soon!

Checked every bush in my garden and down the alley by our house. He might have buried himself deep in one of them or something. I'm still hoping he comes back tonight but my dad always has a sixth sense with my cat and is usually right with these sorts of things.

The bugger was in one of my other neighbours's greenhouses. He still looks so ill though the poor thing so we're gonna take him to the vets on Monday.

Dappy from N-Dubz is annoying me today. I hate the little bugger, and he just doesn't seem to learn!

His latest escapade was to put a stupid message at the start of one of his music videos, wishing for a guy who stabbed a headteacher to be freed from prison.

I swear, if you listed all of Dappy's * ups over the years, that'd be one long list.

Read about it here: http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news/8 ... Murder-Row

Glad you found him Ben. Hope the vet manages to sort him out.

Yes, I am soppy about cats. So bite me.

Ah I'm just as bad. I was so worried about him earlier. My dad is saying its cat flu now cause he's just completely out of it and won't touch any food or hardly even move. We're keeping him locked in until we can take him to the vets on Monday.

Seriously: All the best Ben. Our cat is getting well old now (19) and not looking her healthiest any more. Fingers crossed.

Less so: I, like Yuds it would seem, love pussy.
