Fell asleep on the sofa last night and have a massive headache and really tired. Even a double espresso from Costa hasn't fixed it.

Now I have to work too...

I am annoyed at the fact I have to work during a major international football tournament. Football fans should be given extra paid time off for the duration of football competitions like the Euro's.

My town is apparently the most congested in the county. Probably doesn't help that they moved the University entrance to the already busiest road here.

I can only imagine what its like living near to that ruddy road Ryan... I pass by there approx 05:20 each morning, its usually fine then, but when heading back at end of the day I always go the Nanpanten - Quorn route instead, miss out that $hitty road.

Still, gotta take rough with the smooth, and Lough Uni is an impressive place (site wise, no idea what the education is like).

Its very good if you are doing something sport related, either as a competitor or sports "support" in some way.

I live about ten minutes away from there. My Dad thinks they should build a pedestrian bridge where the crossing is so the traffic wouldn't have to stop every ten minutes for two people to cross.

Well, there seems to be a lot that go there, so they must be doing something right.

That wouldn't be a bad idea... Would also help if they diverted more of the site traffic to the Ashby Road entrance, but hey-ho.

^^QUOTE FAIL^^

Edit -
HEY! Who's gone and fixed that?

Should read:
dimtimjim wrote:[quote='R94N'] My Dad thinks they should build a pedestrian bridge where the crossing is so the traffic wouldn't have to stop every ten minutes for two people to cross. /quote]

That wouldn't be a bad idea... Would also help if they diverted more of the site traffic to the Ashby Road entrance, but hey-ho.

Double Edit -

AHHHH * a cannae get it to look the same as it did.
Bottom line is Tim made an arse of a quote and now I have made an arse of a quote making fun of Tim making an arse of a quote.
On-line Karma and all that bollocks.

The team was discussing the 'bacon tree'/'ham bush' joke today - and making fun of Aled for not getting it, but they were getting it COMPLETELY WRONG.

They just kept saying 'Bacon tree' and then the punchline of 'hambush' with no context whatsoever. It makes no sense.

The full joke is this:

Joke wrote:Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert, wandering aimlessly and close to death. They are close to just lying down and waiting for the inevitable, when all of a sudden...

“Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell? It's bacon, I'm sure of it.”
“Si, Luis, it smells like bacon to me.”

So with renewed strength, they struggle off up the next sand dune, and there, in the distance, is a tree, just loaded with bacon. There’s raw bacon, dripping with moisture… fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon - every imaginable kind of cured pig meat you can imagine!

“Pepe, Pepe - we're saved - is a bacon tree!”

“Luis, are sure is not a mirage? We are in the desert, don’ forget.”

“Pepe, when did you ever hear of a mirage that smell of bacon? Is no mirage - is a bacon tree.”

And with that, Luis races towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres - Pepe following closely behind - when all of a sudden, a machine gun opens up, and Luis is cut down in his tracks. It is clear he is mortally wounded but, true friend that he is, he manages to warn Pepe with his dying breath.

“Pepe, go back man - you were right, is not a bacon tree.”
“Luis, Luis, mi amigo… what is it?”
“Pepe, it's not a bacon tree… it's a Ham Bush.”

It's really irritated me that they're getting the joke wrong. Every time. Dom got it wrong when he did his stand up at Eddie Izzard too, and just went through it.

Oh well, trial and error, I suppose.

I'm on it. I joined when a bunch of people at work were doing it, I think it was before the CM show started using it much, but I can't remember the exact timescale.

You available for some private tutoring?!! I'm sure we could negotiate a fee...

Although, I do seriously need some help with it. I get the whole concept etc, just not sure how to navigate the programme itself. Suppose it'd help to maybe go onto Twitter from a PC (site banned at work) to see if that version makes more sense than my phone version...

Essentially, I just need to know how to follow someone, and then how I send them abusive messages of hate* (as per the Twit norm).
