I'm a bit busy, so I'll just do this quickly - 1980 was CassieJackson's choice.

Queen - Another One Bites The Dust

EDIT: Video Added

Apparently this was the first "Hip-Hop" song, not enough "Mother *" in it to qualify as a Hip-Hop track in my opinion ;)

Oh so very very very many to choose from! Cassie Jackson has nabbed one of the ones that would be on my list. I thought about going for an alternative Jam track as they are the best band of all time ever, but for sentimental reasons (the bad were from Kent but they played the circuits in Essex a lot and I was an occasional guest vocalist) I'm going with Splodgenessabounds and the brilliant Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps Please.

Not too many nominations this week... come on people. I don't have time to look properly at the moment, but after a quick glance, I'm going with Babooshka by Kate Bush.

I'll go with Lennon. Still amazes me that wasn't Christmas number one that year and that St Winifred's beat it.
