I'm very pleased that Aled was so unimpressed by Dark Side of the Moon. Reassures me that it really is a brilliant as I always thought. I wish Clarkson had just squeezed a little harder..........

How wrong was Aled's review this morning? :D Good on Jeremy for sticking up for Pink Floyd. I'm surprised Chris isn't really in to it, too.

I'll have to listen to that, what time was it? I quite like the idea of Aled's reviews, are they on at the same time each day?

Jezza nearly murdered him. Aled sounded genuinely scared at one point. Good.

Aled just didn't get it. Simple as that. It reminded me when I went to go see 'Avenue Q' last year: As we were leaving, a young snobby girl was in front of us, and we heard her telling her friend that it was good but 'It would of been better without the puppets'...

Regarding tonight's Masterpiece, i think 'Experience' was far superior to 'Music for the Jilted Generation'. Still a fantastic album, and also the first album i ever bought, just doesn't have that charm that 'Experience' did.

I know shockingly little about The Prodigy, which is surprising because so much of the music I like is influenced by it. I'm really looking forward to hearing it now. :)

I'm a massive fan of the Prodigy, gutted I didn't see them at V. Experience is more of a journey album best listened to in one setting but Jilted Generation really broke the mold. It took dance music roots and gave it a very Industrial make-over and was inspirational. To me if no-one else. I hated dance music before I heard that album. Although the early Chemical Brothers and Leftfield helped a lot as well.

That was a great album. I may 'acquire' it sooner or later. It's a fantastic thing for Radio 1 to do, and I think the effort put into the documentaries before greatly outweigh how easy it may be to just put an album on for an hour or so. I've heard lots this week that I haven't heard before. Therefore, in my opinion:

Dark Side of the Moon > Rage Against the Machine > Music for the Jilted Generation > The Stone Roses

So, next up..?

I really think/hope Thriller and Sgt. Pepper will get a look in soon.

Absolutely wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Having said that, both great albums (their only two great albums.)

I agree with Topher.

I feel all dirty now.
