Nah, if anything it's usualy a popularity contest to see who gets most votes (you get nominated and then all sixth years and allmembers of staff are allowed to vote to say who they want to be head boy & girl, and deputy head boy & girl. I honestly didn't think I'd get it - I tought the Head Boy would be the person who got Deputy, and the Deupty would be someone else (actualy the base player in my band!), so I was pleasantly suprised.

ours was rigged this year....by us basically.
we did a survey for sociology, and asked people if they would be voting or not.

those that replied no voted "by proxie" funnily enough for our guy we were supporting. ahh the sweet smell of rigged elections - god bless america

ahhhh our head boy in our school was picked by the headmaster. i dont see the point in it myself in our school all you got was a badge an had to be in photos.....

some people like the attention i guess... we've nothing like "head boy" or "head girl" here in america. oh, we've the students who service the faculty, but we don't give them status for it...

i was the person who got myself popular by running a Fantasy Football for 3 years in a row with a £10 prize for the winner.

We don't really have to do that much more, just the occasional meeting and things like that.

I was assistant captian for the priomary school house one year. i was crap at sports but i got it becasue people voted for me

Our school doesn't have anything like that....just boring or common? We have pupil council, thats just a popularity contest, but not head boyz and galz, but even if there was im way too cheeky to be one!
