Just a hunch thing but those who waffle on and on in their blogs about themselves could be described as emos would I be right in saying that? Mind you, make it entertaining and it'll be worth a read. Mate of mine found some blokes diary in a phone box once, its a laugh a minute apparently!

According to the definition of 'emo' I was given once, being an 'emo' is about the clothes you wear and the music you listen to, not whether or not you operate a blog, whether it's about yourself or not.

My daughter says the things to look out for are:

Only wearing black (until they make something darker)
Multiple piercings
An inability to smile
An inability to stand up straight
Conversation which focusses on the word "I"
Conversation which consists entirely of complaining about everyone and everything
Evidence of poorly executed self-harming, displayed in eye-catching manner
Regular threats of suicide (or maybe these could be interpreted as promises)

Apparently if you get any five out of that eight in one person, you have yourself an Emo.

I think it is an abbreviation of "emotionalist". Which isn't actually even a word. Typical.

Wikipedia wrote:Emo (an abbreviation of "emotionally-driven Hardcore punk")...

Blimey. I think emotionalist is more of an accurate description of them, none of them are remotely hard core, merely whining wannabees.

Thank you for that, what's the difference between an Emo and a goth then ?

Goths are allowed to smile and also to glean a little enjoyment from life. They are not required to pretend to be suicidal the whole time.

Spending Kid's Inheritance. Oldies who instead of saving their monies in their retirement and moving to smaller homes decide to blow the lot on fancy holidays and luxeries to make their last few years enjoyable.

Leaving their offspring inheritance free.

Mr Ballbag senior is doing it as we speak.
