Ooooh, bad timing!

Actually, on this kind of issue - whats the form with expensive presents when you split with a boy/girlfriend these days? Is it usual to return them? What about engagement rings from broken engagements? What is the correct thing to do?

A girl here at the office discovered her fiancee was cheating on her, so subsequently dumped him, during the argumentative split up he asked for the engagement ring back as it had cost him £3500, so she promptly threw it in the river Aire right in front of him.

Brilliant.

i can point you in the rough direction of said chucking too if anyone fancies going fishing.

I'd have kept it. And sold it. But I like her style.

i think gifts are gifts. you keep things given to you, unless it's a family heirloom, then i'd give it back.
