Well it is a good album.

Gaspode_The_Wonder_Dog wrote:doves are playing tomorrow... rather see them than coldplay.

Doves were brilliant actually.. might go buy their album after that performance. Coldplay were superb as I expected..

MC wrote:Saturday was interesting. The barrier broke at the front of the crowd about a minute into the first song, so they had to stop and wait about half an hour before they could start again.

If anyones interested the gig is being shown tomorrow night at 11.10 on Channel 4. It did cross my mind at the time that there were a hell of a lot of cameras there.

MC what did you think? How far back were you? I was about 9 or 10 rows from the closed in bit at the front and I thought it was alright, although not a big Oasis fan. Admittedly I did get wet but only with beer (no piss as far as I could smell...)

I know someone who went on the Sunday and was quite near the back, but she was really disappointed and thought it was crap (she was looking forward to it cos she heard some of it from her house on Saturday and it sounded good.)

The Coral were better than expected.

the coral were excellent at scum. i had never seen oasis before and im not a massive oasis fan but it was quite good, they played all the songs you would expect to hear. im just glad i didnt get covered in p*ss. there were so many fights though, mainly because people wearing pompey and southampton shirts. a bit stupid paying 32 quid to get kicked out before oasis even came on.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as the Manchester gig but still worth the journey (I got back home at 4 this morning so am knackered). Only disappointment was that it was an identical set list. I was further back than that, in the middle infront of that thing they run the big screen from. That venue is huge though, I'd imagine the atmosphere at the back would be rubbish cos you are so, so far away from the stage.

Took us an hour and a half to get out of the f*cking car park.. that was the worst bit. I agree about The Coral though, they were good at both gigs.

It isn't true. They were great.

I love it there to be honest, although I've never been right at the back. We managed to park on a mate's driveway and walk in (from Furzton, which is the next estate.)

Just so ya know, I was home by 11:30 ;)
