I was thinking the same. London is my home city and I try to get back there as regularly as possible, and I have family and longtime friends there. My grief is utterly genuine, I realise in many cases it's sympathy, but that is still no less genuine.

I'm saddened, but not particularly shocked. An attack on London was always on the cards. If anything, at a risk of sounding flippant, I'm glad it's over, because it could have been a lot worse.

It isn't necessarily the last though.
I'm in agreement that it was an inevitability although that doesn't make it any the less shocking.
some people are too sheltered in their existences? those people are more likely to be shocked, despite all the warnings that its not a case of when but if.

ok maybe i was a bit stupid saying people are false to be saddened and shocked. but for me it was always going to happen, i thought it would be a lot worse, some people died, yes thats bad but thats it. im not going to spend all day being sad about it. and im definatley not shocked.
