That sound of the streets song is single 0f the week in the NME. It beat Afroman, SFA, Elbow and Roots Manuva.

hmmm, i'm scared, i dont get it. the dr seems to like it and his music tastes aren't to be dis'd. Afroman isn't that good, the SFA single isn't that good (although the album rules), Elbow isn't anything particularly groundbreaking but is still good, and Roots Manuva i haven't heard it that many times. so the competition wasn't that strong, but i still think it (sound of the streets) is arse - admittedly though i've only heard it once so you never know.

I heard it in June on Pete Tong's show  - personally i still think it's crap.
