Those who listen to Scott Mills' show will be familiar with his tracks which loop and loop whilst he talks, then they burst into the 'full' track. Jamelia/Superstar is always a favorite for this.
Now, with a reasonable PC, you can do the same.
You can download it here. A couple of samples are included to get you started. Feel free to share your ideas or 'loop' files.
To create your loop files just create a text file with the .loop suffix in the same folder as your MP3 file. The MP3/loop can be anywhere on your drive. The loop file contains two numbers on two lines. The first is the start of the loop (in seconds, to three decimal places) and the second is the end of the loop. Open one of the existing files and you'll get the idea.
Clicking the 'New Loop' button will reload the loop file whilst continuing to play the track. This allows you to tweak your times without going through the whole load process again. Clicking the '<' button will take you to 1 second after the start of the loop, clicking the '>' button will take you to 1 second before the ned of your loop - again to help you get things right.
If you notice any bugs let me know, but no promises on getting around to fixing any of them. The requirements for this app are as for the SoundMachine.
