I'm not sure if I've added that one to the archive TBH, will have to check

Anyway hello everyone long time no speak and long time no update to this thread, I have some Mark & Lard news, I have been speaking to a member of Gallifrey Base who has a incomplete show of Mark & Lard from October 1998, I shall upload this this weekend with more details.

Hopefully it's something for you Mark & Lard fans to enjoy this weekend

OK here we go, as promised, new Mark & Lard, it's only 11:05 long & is in incomplete show, but any new Mark & Lard is welcome as ever. This was kindly donated by Rox* (Paul) of Gallifrey Base who unfortunately has accidently recorded over parts of it which is why it is an incomplete show. From what is know it's from October 1998 (Cher was number 1 with Believe), Chris Moyles follows after Mark & Lard and Zoe Ball has Alan Davies on the show the following morning. If anyone is able to date this please let me know & I shall rename the file.

Either way here it is & hope you enjoy it:

It's been quite a while since this has been updated, there's some Mark & Lard shows I do have that aren't on here. At some point I hope to find the time to edit them and get them added, my terrible upload speed at home doesn't help a thing mind.

Anyway, I've recently discovered this show in the darkest corners of the interwebs (some torrent) which actually took weeks to download on and off as there were hardly any seeders. I thought I'd share it with you. I haven't the time to edit it, so you get the thrilling experience of some amazing songs on the Radio 1 playlist in September 2002. Such as Bubba Sparx, N.O.R.E, Ashanti, Ian Van Dahl, Eminem yay...

If anyone wants to take on that duty of chopping it up and getting it on archive.org with the others then be my guest. Enjoy.

Anyone have a clip of an old scratchy record that they played. That was so scratchy and old, it kept skipping, skipping in such a way that it sounded like the singer was saying a few swear words?

That gag was hilarious! I guess it was a once only gag; couldn't have seen them repeating that joke too often, lol.

This was called "Lard's Classic Cuts", they ran this feature 3 times for a few weeks through 2001 & 2002.

There's a few on this site:

There used to be many more on another site called 'Lemoncurry', but it's now shut down. Luckily the wayback machine has saved it, files and all:

I think it's from 25th November 1998. The Cheesily Cheerful Chart Challenge was about the Queen's Speech, and I found this article about it:

Thanks for this! I eventually found a YouTube video:

Sorry for the late reply, but I don't log on here very often, and only just found the reply.

Does anyone remember a Mark & Lard show from a long time ago - maybe the mid 90s - where listeners would send in their impressions of famous people via text message? Mark & Lard would take turns reading them out in the appropriate voice, and the other presenter would rate how good the listener's impression was. I was driving up the M11 at the time, and had to go REALLY slowly because I could hardly see the road through my tears of laughter! I would LOVE to hear that again!
