so here i am, all grown up at uni! as the hoare will verify it's the dogs bollox - the atmosphere, the parties, the general chilled-outness. sorry i haven't been around, i'm actually getting connected to the internet in my bedroom - should be pretty soon, like within a few days. there's loads to sort out in the first few weeks so i've been pretty slow. but i will be back to kick the hoare's scrawny ass, like he's got a chance anyway. the cheek of challenging me was a big mistake.<br><br>anyway, technical question: my brand new network card fits into the PCMCIA slot on my laptop. unfortunately, so does my peripheral cd-rom drive. the student connection wizard is on a cd-rom. it has to detect the network card to connect me. both have to be in the same slot which sadly is impossible. any solutions? please don't post it here, but e-mail me: mailto:basketcased@yahoo.com<br><br><br>cheers, and i promise i'll be posting again soon.

It's so funny that it's been suggested that i buy a new laptop because that's what i'm going to do, if they'll take my brand new Toshiba Portege off my hands at a reasonable price.<br><br>I also find it slightly amusing that their is an air of complacency around here.
