Any idea what arrangements are being made for parking at One Big Sunday tomorrow? I haven't even got a clue where to go when I get into Leicester.
Paul.

When I went to One Big Sunday in Bolton last year they had them Yellow AA signs everywhere so you'll be able to find the car park no probs if its like that in Leicester. They did a park and ride aswell.

Well, getting to Leicester wasn't a problem (only 20 miles away). But finding Victoria Park and a designated parking place was hopeless. I only saw 4 signs for the parking areas. In the end, we followed the signs for Demontfort Hall, and then just parked in a residential area.
Paul.

He made a couple of announcements off the air during some records. The first one was about lost children. "If you look to your left and right and notice that you child is missing. What kind of parent are you? Anyway, to go over to the lost children tent over their and take your pick."
The other announcement was about people throwing things. "Stop throwing things. If someone gets injured, we'll have to cancel the show. So you'll only be making it bad for everyone. And besides, there's 99,000 people who can teach you a lesson on the way out."
One other thing. Jo Whiley said JK was being the baddest mother f*!ker here. Was that broadcast?
Paul.

I went to Leicester and thought it was brilliant but there was so many people there.
I'm not a massive fan of Poshes but felt sorry for her when everyone booed and through apples at her (which Chris got quite mad about). Dido and Coldplay were amazing and Chris Martin climbed up the ladders on the big screen to throw his microphone and then played for an extra 10 minutes.
Chris was funny and got quite a few laughs but i didnt hear Jo whiley say that.
btw- we parked quite easily in Leicester, but the signs were confusing.

LOL. Sounds familiar with the lost children annoucements, etc. Jo Whiley said JK was the baddest mother *funker* on the planet (as said in the Outkast song). Talking of Outkast - they performed at OBS Manchester and saying 'coolest mother f*ckers' about 10 times. Apparently they tried to bleep it out on the broadcast but ended up doing a Moyles-style missing the swear word :)
Glad to see Posh got booed, but you couldn't tell on the radio. Same thing happened with Emma Bunton, who also mimed. Dido sounded fantastic, as did (I'm sorry - but I like him) Craig David. As for Coldplay - they are a great band with a great album, but Chris' voice is still playing him up. I felt sorry for him.
the_dr

Yeah, i was there in leicester, twas brilliant... coldplay and dido were the best sets in my opinion. Chris did the climbing stage thing at v2001 aswell. I had to do a double take when jo whiley said that but I'm pretty sure she did'nt swear. Felt sorry for posh but she brings it on herself...look at the newspaper coverage all this weekend and then turning upto a live concert and being the only act to mime is kinda lame. I think people who went to see craig david would have been disappointed as all of his songs were acoustic, which altough showed off his talent did'nt really get the crowd pump'in. Moyles was alright, the girl who had the 'chris moyles marry me' banner was damn fine she was stood just in front of me.
Greg
