I was just looking through the radio schedules and noticed that Sara Cox wil be presenting her first ever show on radio 2 tonight ,filling in for Alex Lester on the 2-5am graveyard shift. I wonder if this signals that she might move to radio 2 full time in the not too distant future? I'll try and give it a listen anyway,if I can stay awake!

Technically thats true.She has chaired a couple of panel shows or something ,but thi s is as far as I know the first show she'll have done as a DJ on her own.

Sara would be great on Radio 2. I think she is brilliant on R1 but really I reckon she would be even better on R2, she could really indulge all the gossipy homely chat that she does so well. There are some excellent shows with excellent presenters on R2, she'll fit right in there.

I hope she dunt, as I'm still in my 30's, so I can't listen to R2 (my Dad listens to R2)...!

I don't care how old you are, Simon Mayo is worth a listen regardless of what station he's on.

I've gotta be honest. I have heard bits of Simon Mayo and I have to agree with that. Jo Whiley is great on Radio 2 as well.

Graham Norton and Paul O'Grady's shows at the weekend are brilliant too, as is Steve Wright in the Afternoons in the week.

I really enjoy lots of Radio 2 shows and also many of the programmes on Radio 4. Chris and the team are the only show I listen to on Radio 1, apart from the odd bit of The Surgery sometimes if I have notbing else left to listen to.

Sara was really quite good last night.She was much calmer than she is on radio One and seemed to fit right in with the mood of the station .I think she has a future on Radio 2

I'm mainly at work when he's on but whenever I do get to hear him it sounds alright unless he has that bullshit astrologer woman on.

I think this is one of the key things about Steve Wright's show, his whole show used to infuriate me, until I realised that he was in on the joke. i,e. his entire show. Now I quite like him now, though Ken Bruce is still the best thing on Radio 2, imo!

Didn't hear the show but it's a shame in my opinion that Cox is taking the R2 path, I really like her on Radio 1.
