Anyone know when they stop broadcasting for Xmas this year?

I really wish they would do a prerecorded show for Xmas day like they used to, but I'm sure they won't (I say this every year). If I recall correctly, I'm sure the team wanted to do one last year, but it was management who said no. I wonder if they might at least do a podcast (not a free download) for Xmas day? I like listening to them giving each other crap presents

I think Aled said the 23rd in the Ask Aled thread and he mentioned some special all day show happening on that day as well.

According to Aled on Friday's show, there will be a podcast every day from 26th Dec to 9th Jan, when they get back. Surely these must be highlights or something? Or maybe they could be very short new ones?

Presumably they'll be of the 12 hour Marathon show that is happening on the 26th as they aren't allowed to release any material over a week old.

Yeah no doubt. It was just weird that Aled said "you've got a lot of work to do". But that was probably tongue-in-cheek.

Yeah I expect so. I'm doing what I normally do anyway, which is to save up my edited Moyles for the Xmas holidays Old Adam and Joe shows are keeping me ticking over just fine until then.

What did you think about the 12 hours Longest Show Highlights? (sorry, couln't find a thread and didn't dare starting one).

I'm 30 min into the show and just listened to 1 song - News - 2 songs back to back. I'm a bit disappointed. And I would have loved the usual highlights from the year as well. I know, I don't ask for much

I feel this as the year went on, there has been more music played and less banter in some of the shows and it stinks.

After listening to more I have to say, overall I really liked it (apart from the too much music of course). I especially liked the behind scenes stuff and for example that they got Sam and Aled to talk about what happened off the radio.
