The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Has improved dramatically since he started on Radio? Usually when I listen to his interviews, I tend to lose interest because to me it just doesn't sound right unless he's interviewing someone he considers a friend, but lately I think he's been amazing. His interview with David Beckham, John Cleese and Cee-lo Green are testament to this because as well as entertaining they were also very informative.

Yes, but with the caveat that if he's struggling to get much out of the guest, he just resorts to talking about himself. Not that I'm saying I would necessarily be able to come up with a better technique, but it is something I still notice from time to time, most recently with Cee-Lo.

I thought that the Cee-Lo Green interview was a good example of how much he has improved his interviewing. A few years ago that would have been a car crash of an interview. There was no real chemistry and Green, from what I have gathered from hearing a couple of his interviews before, isnt the easiest to interview.

After starting with Moyles trying to start some banter and failing, he rightly resorted to conventional questions which warmed Green up a bit and then went back to having a bit of a joke at the end which worked in my opinion.

This has been discussed before, but in answer to the threads question, yes Chris has improved his interviewing technique massively.

In fairness, when he has to interview idiots like Cee-lo Green and Jason Derulo and that woman on earlier, he's not got much of a chance.

I'm sure most interviewers have a few fall backs, the duet / twitter comparison is Chris's.

I just wish they'd have the balls to throw off the guests once in a while, instead of dragging it out.

I never realised it was Derulo that's ruined Africa either. It's shocking.

Derulo interview was alright, just your typical interview fare. He was on the show back in August 2010 but I never actually listened to it so don't know if it was the same but guesses are it probably is. I just hate it this time of year when it is guests galore and pretty much the majority are very similar. John Cleese one was great since it was someone different and who has had a life and the stories he told were interesting but you won't get the same appeal from everyone now.

Tomorrow and Monday's show is not going to be interesting for me. Don't like it when Vernon fills in and would prefer if it was Sara since I remember last time he filled in and it seemed every 2 mins there was a song.
