Theres no way Chris accept it anyways ;)

Well Podshow (the company Adam co-founded with Ron Bloom) is backed by some of the biggest Venture Capital firms in the world - multi-million pounds already invested in it. He reckons they'll back up his offer.

Actually Adam Curry himself is minted (from floating at least 1 previous company he had with Ron Bloom), although I suspect he wouldn't be putting his own money on the line for this deal :)

Damn. You know, moyles was saying something this morning about not accepting extra cash, if it was offered. I can't blooming well remember what it was exactly.

It was something like if capital offered him double money he still wouldnt go. The rest of the team were a bit more hesitant but still all agreed they'd stay if the offer was there :D

Chris sees the Radio 1 breakfast show as the top spot of his career - theres no WAY he'll leave voluntarily, he will have to be pushed when the time comes!

I agree. From his books his total love of radio shines through!
Although I would bet that he would be interested in a joint radio/ tv career like Chris Tarrant had! I guess he kind of already does to an extent!

I'd like to think he'll know when his time is up and he won't go stale and have to be pushed. But we have this discussion about leaving far too often and I agree with Yudwuk's view on it. I don't rememeber exactly what that is, but I remember agreeing with it.

Chris knows he has the job in radio that every other DJ would give their right arm for. There is NO bigger radio job in the UK. It would have to be crazy amounts of money for him to walk. Lets face it his £600k salary is only half of what he earns anyway, when you take into account TV appearances and books etc.

Who the hell is Adam Curry?

Too lazy to check. If I've not heard of him then he's probably not worth knowing!

Well, if Horatio adopted AndyB's philosphy, he'd be ok then, wouldn't he?

I also can't see Chris leaving Radio 1 to go somewhere else, he gives out the impression that he loves what he does too much to quit and do something else.

I think he will be like Dave Lee-Travis (DLT) and one day in a few years time he will just announce live on air that the show he is currently broadcasting is his last one and at the end of it he will be handing in his notice and leaving radio 1.

Let's hope this doesn't happen for many years to come.

:)
