First of all belated Happy New Year!

On a personal note the last fortnight felt so much longer than 14 days off! Baby Elan helped make Christmas extra special (congratulations mum Meleri and dad Sion) and New Year was, well… I don’t actually remember New Year so it must have been pretty good. (see photo)

On a work note Rachel and I went in for a few hours on Friday to make sure everything was ready for Monday. I’ve got mixed emotions of intense excitement that the team’s all back and real nerves. Nerves because I look at the last four years and last year in particular and think we’ve done so much HOW can we top it this year?

But that’s one of the things that Rach and I get paid for so I pledge to you now that 2008 will be the best year yet. Expect a more visual Chris Moyles Show on TV, on red button and online.

My predictions for 2008: now that the C word (competitions) has been delisted as a swear word expect The Chris Moyles Show to have the coolest competitions that money can’t buy as well as the odd car based competition with prizes that (not much) money certainly could buy.

We’ll have some more A list celebs as well as some Z listers – as long as Chris likes them.

We’ll be escaping the confines of the M25 some more this year – possibly coming to your town or city… even if you’re not in the UK….

We’ll be talking more about bodies (or at least I will be) with Chris ending last year talking about cutting down on drink in Jan and this year the show will be working with Sport Relief in some way.

Carrie and Dave will get married, Rach will still be talking about doing it, I will be hoping for it and Chris will be avoiding the subject. Carrie will also announce she’s pregnant (my prediction). I will again be hoping to be able to say that.

Piers will be back to make sure Chris plays enough music and provide Chris with some more material for some rants. Matt will be back and still fancying Sarah (he’ll deny it), Sarah will be on the show on-and-off during the year as the UA schedule takes her away from us for a while.

My ego will grow in 2008  and the listeners… well there’ll be more of you (hopefully) by the end of the year than the start. Chris will then have his dream come true of having more listeners than Wogan making The Chris Moyles Show the biggest show in the UK (officially as well as unofficially).

I listened to Mills a couple of times and it was awful. But it was probably better than it would have been had Laura been on.

I know he's been doing it a while, but what the hell is that "it's only ble Friday" thing.. dreadful, and people actually text in and ask for it (allegedly).

Actually it was originally an acronym for an in-joke i've long forgotten (hence the caps). People started saying it phonetically and it just stuck I guess!
Much more interesting than my normal name (Adam)

I'm not sure about Tial as a name though - it's too close to just being a typo of Tail. Which would be a wrong thing to call a little girl.
