The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

So then as we've got a "Worst Show of 2007" thread, in an attempt not to be seen as a negative site (and because Isacc Newton was right) I thought we should have a best show thread.

My own views on this will be revealled later but for now what for you has been the best show of the year so far?

I must say, I did rather like the "BBC Local" phase they went through with "the talk of the county"... classic material :)

I also love that avatar, Jane Hissey is wonderful.

I couldn't say which is "the best show", but I do think my enjoyment of the show in general is increasing over this last year. It's really working well. I think.

Ok then we could just change it to what bits have been the funniest or best over the last year?

For some reason I love the shows when Chris is totally random. Usually he's either ill and/or taking medication for some reason or other.

One of my fav shows is probably the March show with David Tennant. On the same show they had the PS3 in the studio and Aled was having kittens when Chris was suggesting they throw it about.

I've also got a clip of Dom trying to do the "bum bum" bit of the CPC tune, but he's totally off beat.

Haha, the PS3 one was gold. I can't think of any specific ones, but I tend to remember them if someone else mentions them.

That's me, too. I can't pick a "best" show but two that had me laughing so hard I was crying were the ones with Chris and Dave playing with the BBC phone system (Harry B-------). It was brilliant. Also, Chris trying to sing like his Middle Eastern "doppelganger" was hilarious.

The show where dom went "I'm Hungry" and then her later made a prawn ball appeal was hilarious.

I also loved when Dom revealed that he made up commerical jingles on the toilet.

I'm hopping someone can just list a bunch of funny events from the year to jog everyone elses memory.

I managed to find the little clip of Dom from the show when they had the Playstation3 in the studio. He was playing a game while he attempted to "bum" along to the CPC tune as usual. At the time I recorded it from FM so pretty poor quality.

I think Carrie's revelation of her inability to get a bikini wax was hysterical. I was proper laughing on the train, got some right weird looks.

I'm sure that could be done with a glance at some of the podcast descriptions... I quite liked [*]-itt and Pullitt, although that may be a controversial choice.

Also... "Dominic's back for a bit of bumming!"

I've decided on my favourite bit from this year.

Very early on this year as I was laying iin bed one morning and Chris announced that it had been snowing and kept playing the opening of Brand New Cheesy Song and telling everyone to go and open their curtains which I did and he sounded so excited. Like a fat kid in a sweet shop.

First proper snow of the year it was too....Except only in London cos then everyone else in the country text in to say "what do you mean, no snow here" and he quickly realised that it was only the south east that got it.....

I enjoyed the snow though.

I enjoyed the edition when David Gest was late.

Also the rant about the Long Way Down people getting publicised and then being ungrateful.

Currently I'm totally hooked on Rob DJ saying "I..I..I would have said fandabby daw-zee"

There are just so many best bits... :)

I just remembered more that were so funny:

In January when Chris brought in the CD his parents made of him singing when he was little. He played the "Humpty Dumpty sh*t on a wall" part and Dave said, "What did Humpty do to that poor wall?!" So funny! Chris replayed the song again a few months back and got irritated when people texted in saying "Heard this bit." It caused him to go on a rant and he said he was going to read out the mobile numbers on the air of the miserable gits that texted in. It was rather counter-productive to him attempting to tic the "cute" box.

Another one (although I'm not entirely sure it was this year?) was him laughing at the Fall Out Boy song "Sugar We're Going Down" and saying, "What is he saying here? 'Snot on the bedpost?!?!'" He just kept repeating that line over and over again. I can't ever hear that song now without singing, "Snot on the bedpost."

Oh and him replaying the odd Chinese type sounds that Dean Gaffney was making in the jungle.

Yeah it did come from that although I thought the only funny part about that was Dave's rubbish New York accent. Was the Dean Gaffney thing Japanese or Chinese?
