The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Although I still like the show - I cant help but feel new blood is needed - they are all settling down and generally getting quite dull - unlike lots of people on here I dont really care about the personnel and their private lives (i dread to think whats going to happen when the weddings come around) I just want to be entertained. Id like to see 2 out of aled/rachel/dom/carrie changed for new members who can bring new energy to the show. I had to change stations the other morning when it was constant celebrity scissorhands and nothing else and i guess with celeb jungle round the corner it will be just the usual soundbites etc.. I just think they need some new people on the show.

What exactly do you mean by that?

I think the team is fine as it is and Dom should definitely not go. Neither should the others, but especially not Dom.

I too think some new "energy" is required to give the show a bit of a lift. I've not really enjoyed it that much this week, I must say, and I did not like the "Carr" guest.

Replace Carrie with someone to start with, and perhaps Chris could do some more ranting. That's always funny. :-)

dodger, it's a good thing you're not in charge of Radio One. Get rid of DOM?? Seriously??

Well, everyone's gonna have different views on people to be replaced. I'd get rid of Carrie. Others wouldn't, etc., etc.

Well personally I wouldn't get rid of any of them. There's a reason Moyles has so many listeners. Why mess with it?

He has a lot of listeners at present certainly - totally agree, but if the shows continue the way they are going at the moment (not so funny at present), then this may change. :-)

...in your opinion. I am still enjoying it, therefore my opinion is that it is still funny. I suspect Moyles is keeping his listeners.

I am still enjoying it too, or I wouldn't be plugged in, but it just needs a bit of a boot up the arse in someway at the moment, I think.

I'm really enjoying it at the minute, I loved the "Carr interview" as Viv put it, don't think I've laughed so much in ages. In my humble opinion each member of the team brings something different to it and I like the balance. As a true believer in the philosophy of "Who Moved My Cheese" you should smell the cheese every day but I think it still works so don't change it!

Is "Who Moved My Cheese" philosophy in any way linked to "Smell the Fart" acting?

I think they need a slightly younger element to the team, they're all the wrong side of 30 so they need someone who's just under 30, lives in London because that's where everything happens and preferably is used to the comute to the local area around radio1 and for no reason I can fully think of yet has a sound knowledge of bookmaking and betting principles.

Yuds don't bother, 4 mice, 2 are lazy and get nothing, 2 arn't and get lots.

If you rest on your laurels then you don't succeed, if you seek out new things everyday you will be happier.

Totally agree with original post.

I only listen to parts of the show now, and turn over during the ever increasing amount of poor content...

1)Just Ask Dom. - Does anyone find this funny? What is the point!? Even the team know this is feature has no legs. Just like all of Doms features previously. (One road travel, and who knows Dom)
2)Celebrity Scissor hands. - If i was this interested in the show, id watch it!
3)Birthday Corner. - This is only entertaining for the person whose birthday it is!

Chris and Dave need to come up with some more good features and get new people in.
The show's becoming too commercial.

Having said that, I think Radio 1 as a whole is getting worse..Dick and Dom!!??? Say no more!

I don't see that being just over the 30 mark makes you the wrong side of anything. Ant and Dec, for example, are about the same age, but no-one seems to regard them as too old for doing what they do. Agree with the features - mind you, i'm starting to like birthday corner - must be a grower.
