When we went to see him in London, the underground caught fire and we were about 40 minutes late. I was convinced he was going to abuse us when we walked in. Thankfully* we were so near the back, he didnt see us.

*or not, considering we couldnt see him that well.

This was in 2004 for a mates birthday - we went to London for a long weekend. Part of the festivities involved going to see him.

Also, it is nigh on impossible to get tickets for him when he plays here, which he doesn't seem to do that often.

I've never been to see a stand-up, I would love to though. I've been to a comedy club, where it's a bit hit and miss whether you get a good one or not, but never to purposely see someone I've previously seen on telly or heard of.
