Soon we all wont as the feature may disappear without trace if the meddling BBC have their way. I'm talking about CPC by the way, Balls. Just a hunch I'm basing this theory on, as the show doesn't feel the same without Roy, thats all.

am i not right in saying that they (all the radio stations) lose listeners over the summer and both him and Wogan are up on the figures from this time last year?

Thats based on the way i read an article in the paper on Saturday. It might not be right.

Yeah, because 270,000 people have disappeared to car parks to play carpark catchphrase for a period the length of which is measured by the radio ratings people and thus haven't been listening to Moyles for that length of time.

How do you do it, Holmes?

Can someone briefly tell me how Rajar actually measure listener figures? How? Do they ask 100 people and multiply it by the population? Keep's me up at night it does..

The Radio Authority Joint Audience Research company(showoff!) basically gives a notebooks to a few thousand people and they monitor their own listening habits over a set period. They then send the notebooks in and someone compiles the results and using stasticaly analysis data works out what it transipres to for the whole country or region.

I have no idea how you get one of these notebooks although as Chris has mentioned in the past they don't include listenership figures for anyone under 16 so I assume you have to be at least 16 to get one.

All of the above may be wildly inacurate but I don't think it is. (hmm possible new sig)

I wish someone would give me one. That would be great.
