What's the point of Carrie? The sports news could easily be read by Dom each morning. She gets paid a shed-load of money for reading out a few lines once an hour. I bet she doesn't even write the sport script herself. Nice work if you can get it.

Actually I don't think it matters - she is probably the most commercially viable winner of that competition so far, she does have a technically excellent voice (even if it des sound exactly the same as hundreds of other R&B divas), so good luck to her.

X-Factor is starting to suck big time. The last series should be extactly that "the last", so that we can get on with some decent entertainment. I like watching the first few episodes as its with all the people that think they can sing and dance to have their dreams destroyed by Mr. Cowell. Now that is fun, but after that I switch off as its just 10 or 12 weeks of carp. If they get rid of Kate Chocolates then that will turn even more people off.

what does it matter whether someone has a great personality if you like what they do? It seems to be a modern condition that we judge people on their image rather than their talent.

I think its because someone like Leona might be talented, but she really doesn't sound any different to hundreds of other singers doing the same stuff in the same way with hte same vocal tricks as she is using. So personality comes into play.

I'm not slagging her off, she's the best winner of one of those competitions that there's been so far, and given the right material she could do really well. I'm just saying she didn't come across on the radio very well. But she'll learn, its early days!
