Well what will everyone be doing with themselves when Moyles is on holiday for the next 2 weeks?

I shall be sleeping...

I can hardly tell these interchangeable DJs apart- Nemone, KC, Emma B, Vicki Marsden- they all have the Jo Whileyesque husky voice!

Speaking of DJs filling in for others, didn't Simon Mayo or someone do a 7 hour show to fill in for 2 djs a couple of years ago? or did i imagine it?

well Simon Mayo did a full 24 hours for Comic Relief in 1999. Mark and Lard did a 6 hour show once.

I remember it was more than 24 hours, as he started his show as normal at 9am on the Thursday and then presented or co-presented all the way through at least 11pm or midnight on the Friday night. - jc

All the other shows carried on, he was just driving the desk for all of them.

8O I shall be listening to my MP3 collection. Badly Drawn Boy, Alfie, Doves, and the whole other lot of stuff... or maybe even taking advantage of the Audio On Demand option of the new Radio1 site... anything but listening to Emma B!

All she does is bland games through the phone... blah!

I'm Argentinian, and DJs here, when on holidays, leave the rest of the staff to take care of the show (with mixed results, of course). Despite of technical shortcomings that might make it impossible, I'd sure like to hear the show with the rest of the guys running the show... at least for a couple of weeks.

I like Emma B, I think she's a good presenter. As for "entertaining features," I think if she had a full-time decent time-slot then her "crew" would come up with better ideas for features. It's not her that comes up with them; it'll be other people on the team like the producer and the ba.

you could always record one of chris's show's and just listen to that everyday.

uglybob- could we have two weeks of Reviews from "SW" Show? Oh, you know you want to....I sense that he doesn't have Digtial radio. Why not make urself review early morning Sara Cox.

Though the Realaudio stream seems to be working better now, I wouldn't trust it to remain stable throught the whole show for me to record... plus, it'd get old really fast :D

Anyway, I really hope the Radio1 site eventually lets us hear the rest of the shows 'On Demand'. Since Argentina is in GMT -3 I'm unable to listen to The Breakfast Show, and imagine it must be good... plus, I'd be able to catch Moyles if I miss it and something really good happens.

I remember that! :D They became more drunk as the show went on and ended up seriously trollied on air while they played 20-minute mixes from the like of Fatboy Slim and such. Man, those were the days.

I couldn't listen to them though that year when they pre-recorded their Xmas Eve/Day show, and kept going on about how it was pre-recorded. Just boring. - jc

the pre recorded shows were just as funny.

The christmas day show for 7 hours was half pre recorded and half live. At one point Chris got the person who was in the studio playing the tape out to phone up his home phone live so Chris answered :p
