I pre-ordered mine from Amazon too, it says the estimated delivery date is 9-11 October. Wish I'd chosen 1st class delivery now, didn't think it would take so long to get here.

I bought mine at Lunchtime today from WH Smith. I've read about 3/4 of it already. It's a good read!

Glad to hear it's a great read, will get it this weekend but probably won't read it for a few more weeks as I still haven't finished Richard Pryors book yet, I'm not a slow reader I just haven't had a chance to read it as I have been very busy at work recently :(

Is the book available in hardback, paperback or both?

as far as I know only hardback at the moment, but it should be released in paperback by February/March probably. I know this is off topic but how is Richard Pryor's Biog?

Great so far, really interesting & shocking as well, let's just say that even from an early age Richard Pryor lead an interesting life. The book was £6.99 in HMV a couple of weeks ago. I recommend you buy it, obviously once you've finished reading Chris Moyles' book of course  :D

I'm reading Peter Kay's book at the moment but will glady stop that to read Moyles's. Haven't finished my Peter Sellers biography yet, it's over 1500 words long and it very dark. Much like the person himself, very interesting read for any fan of the Pink Pather or his other work.

Yeah, I think I might buy the Richard Pryor biog tomorrow as I've almost finished reading the Gospel. I'm currently on page 186 so not too far to go now. Another Biog that I recommend is the Ronnie Barker one. That's a pretty good one also!

If you want to read a good one, then Roy Chubby Brow's is a good place to start.

Steer clear of Anne Franke's....... it's a bit morbid.

Toast usually lands butter side down because usually toast is held butter side up and usually about 1- 1.5 meters above the floor level... i.e. on a plate, or in a hand, or on the table/kitchen sideboard. Toast when dropped usually slides off whatever it is on, (usually plate) and this motion, combined with the drop height usually only allows for half a rotation of the piece ot toast, i.e. when it reaches the ground it will be facing the opposite way... i.e. butter side down.

Now if you just drop a piece of toast flat (i.e. not off the side of a plate) it will probably land butterside up. (it has to be dropped perfectly flat though). Also if you drop a piece from a greater height (from ceiling level) then it will probably rotate completely and land butterside up. On a similar note if you drop it from a small height (i.e. almost on the floor) it wont have chance to rotate and hence again will land butterside up.

In summation I suspect that Peter Crouch and Kenny Baker don't experience this phenomenon.

As for cats.............. if you were dropped , then I'd imagine that you'd try to land on your feet too, they're just trying to land safely.

And finally if you did put butter on a cat's back you'd end up with an angry cat, and a hairy knife.

Yes you've guessed it.......... I am an engineer.

This might just be my book - but can anyone else have a look and see if the pages the part of the book about Leeds United are printed on look darker and a bit dirty - is someone having a joke somewhere?

.... hasten to add someone did actually tell me not to try that at home, the cat we had at the time was a wild bengal tiger.
