Now look, I specifically stated that I don't actually believe that she is a lesbian. Just because she is in her fifties and has never married doesn't necessarily make her gay. Mind you, the fact that Neil (yep, it really is Neil) leaves his bike in the archivists back passage because no-one ever goes there might be significant in that context.

I think that often Mr Moyles forgets sometimes that having a national station on fm with no adverts or sponsorships means that his show et al is in a unique position in terms of listnership. I mention this in relation to crowing about figures and piling the agony on the hopeless Capital FM etc.

The resources, paid for by us, behind each rajar sweep is not to be underestimated.

He's crept ahead of these commercial station for the first time ever. Its an incredibly competitive area for a whole host of reasons, and this is the first time the BBC's offering in that slot has been number one, although you make it sound as though they have been dominant. Its a huge achievement which the BBC have been striving for for a long time, I think a little crowing is appropriate.

I think our discussion was taken as a complaint which is certainly not how I meant it! I just didn't understand how the whole listening figures worked and felt it was a valid question to ask!
