That's unfortunately the way it is most of the time, there are very few shared members between the two sites, not because of the 'rivalry', but because of the target audience of each site; it's rare that a person is compatible with both.

I dont really take any of it seriously and have never really spoken of mills-ville, its just Jono tends to have this habit of bringing them into the public domain like they are some sort of political party, its popularly known as 'whoring'. I think the near hatred bit was when our Feeler friend lost the plot a bit, if I were to hate anybody from mills-ville then there really would be no fun in it. I think we should embrace friendly rivalry as and when it rarely occurs, its healthy. I doubt I'll be going back to Um again for a while, unless they raise their head above the paraphet, or if it becomes the law to listen to Mills.

I believe we here are diverse in our topics of debate so needn't stay on one particular topic for long. If this were a newspaper then you would be eating your chips off it tomorrow. Eating off your monitor however is unadvisable.

I have to admit, most on here (and there too, I suspect) are taking it as friendly rivalry, but some appear to be taking it too far. And I second the motion to not eat off monitors. I thought they didn't use newspaper for chips anymore, because of the ink? Anyway, I appear to have strayed slightly off topic.

I think this site is for more mature people that dont like seeing pointless threads and want to discuss something useful. I think the main people on both sites are people like the hosts...moyles=sarcastic, dry and sometimes rude UM= immature, friendly and chatty.

From what I've read it was arguments from the last two posters that got themselves banned from UM. I think they have however matured over the last six months over there, but each forum does seem to reflect each show. I'm bored of reading this, so I'm bowing out.

I think the 'rivalry' is fairly tongue in cheek for the most part - as others have said, I don't go there because it seems a bit immature and 'kiddified' (I don't care if that word is immature by the way), but there is an element from both sides of 'they're a bit pathetic' - I think it's more justified for us to think that but then I would because I'm a member here. I do think DemonHorse takes what seems to be his hatred for certain people over there a bit far (he's bound to go off on one at me because he thinks I go to far sometimes but then that's a difference of opinion).

Yeah due to Jono's shoddy job of moderating... strange how he banned members who even dared to criticise, or suggest change, and also people like Viv but not hannahisstupid who in my opinion was far worse. I do like most of the regulars, just jono callum and hannahisstupid that were the problem... oh and all of their multiple accounts so they could back themselves up. I didnt even want to be there after that anyway if thats how hes gonna run the place.

Out of over 4000 members on there, it looks like only about 3 or 4 people have been personally upset. That's less that 0.1%. You've got to go with what the majority want, instead of sparing the feelings of a tiny amount of individual's feelings. At the end of the day, when a site owner spends a lot of his time and effort making sure his forum is running smoothly, it is up to him who he does and doesn't want contributing.
