I feel like it must be, but I can't find it in Funny Bits. The categorisation of sound clips has been a bit arbitrary in the past tho.

Dave started to read out messages from listeners/veiwers from around the world, prompting Chris to remind him about the off air chat before the show specifically saying not to mention foreign listeners.

Also pomme de tits was a classic but i'm not sure weather that was Dave or Dom

Yep was just about to mention the same gaffe on the first link of the first show of a new year...before hitting play just think about the fake callers paranoia and the push for truthiness in the BBC :D Priceless!

Keep digging Dave we can still see your head !!

Have you tried searching for Dave or Big Weekend or anything?

Loads of them never get mentioned on air, probably cos they're not very interesting! I recall one day picking out about six errors and none of them were mentioned. Anything religious, geographical, historical or scientific is a particular problem for Dave. I don't think he does much fact-checking in advance.

One that I have noticed a few times is that he'll include a french word like Déjà vu or duck a l'orange in the link and say ".....is the same in english as it is in french".

It isn't, it's just a french word!! :?

This is classic Dave, by now they've enough gaffes of his to turn into a telly series anyway:

(PS - I know this is made-up)

Oh my GOD, at least I'm not the only one that notices that! Every time he does it I put it in the 'flaws' section of my transcription, but it never gets mentioned on air. I seem to recall that 'baguette' is another of his favourite examples.

No...I honestly think he really thinks that!

I really don't think he does! To me, it's obviously for comic effect. He's not Aled, therefore is not lacking in most areas of general knowledge.

Well, we'll never know! I'm pretty sure his historical and scientific mistakes are genuine tho. Thankfully there haven't been many glaring errors in quite a while now. I always have to do my research cos I don't think my general knowledge is that broad either - I'm forever looking up stuff like "is it possible to ride a zebra" :) (yes, that is a genuine example.)

He's like me, he just doesn't think before he speaks 90% of the time. The difference is, when he does it, it's funny, when i do it, i look a tit

Can somebody make a big file of all the Dave mistakes? Be good to get them all in one place. Alternatively help me with all the ones hes done & I'll do it myself & post to the sound vault

Haha - imagine playing that if he left, would be a right laugh.

Yeah, that's a great one. It's in the Sound Vault. http://chrismoyles.net/soundvault/pafil ... file&id=94 I like Chris's first line coming out of the track "Roll tapes now". That particular Tedious Link was littered with errors, seemingly.

He did that before, or since, wasn't it Mickey Rooney who he said was dead?

I'm just editing some Tedious Link archive stuff now and I found another gem - Dave claimed in a link in September 2006 that George Benson was dead, when he definitely wasn't (turned out Dave had him confused with Luther Vandross).
