Your posts have very good grammar (just a compliment), I didn't think it was full of students, quite judgemental! a friend of a friend went and there was a mix bag there and a very good night. I thought it was quite strange you not going.

In all seriousness steve walker, why do you find it quite strange her not going? I find that quite strange.

Oh, and Five Live don't play any music.

I'd meant "subnormal person"... sorry, I've had poor zzzzz's last night :-)

Assuming you have no knowledge of Yudster's personality, what are you basing this judgement on?

I joined today and read previous posts. Thats all.

I realise that now hence,

Sorry, just showing my paranoia. I can be too observant sometimes.

My point Ballbag is that's she said "Another reason I enjoy Moyles' show is because he doesn't play too much music". My point is that Five Live doesn't play music so if she likes abit of chat that's sometimes more interesting than the Moyles show she should give that a listen.

Strange? My point is that if Scott Mills (for example who's show I like) came to a venue that is very very near me I would like to go / get tickets. That's all. Not strange just a question that she answered, even if it was judgemental.

Yudster's personality I don't know, but just from her posts on this thread you get a slight inkling of it. I honestly don't mean this in a bad way but surely you can't be blind to that?

I would have said that anyone who comes to complain about the show is not a "long-time lurker", or any sort of "lurker" at all. So, not observant enough, then.

I can't see how Yudster's posts indicate that she would want to go to Gag Idol, no.

Also I don't want to make a big issue of her not going to Gag Idol, bloody hell it's up to her which she's posted.

My point is, as a massive fan spebding time on a computer posting how great Chris Moyles is I'd have thought she would have gone, that's all (and she answered).

End of.

Steve sorry but why join a Moyles fan site if you don't like Moyles?
Seems a bit of a waste of time to me.

Do you understand what 'too much' means?

That may be the case if you're a 'mad fan'.

Right so why did he join then? Hence my previous post.

I wanted to know why he has such a good following as I just don't get it.

Was it just the fact that breakfast shows are poor? People get use to tuning in to Radio 1 for the day? or the fact that Radio 1 have such a massive following? I honestly believe it's not all Chris Moyles as he's not that good. That's all.

Personally I listen as it's easier to listen to and it's on in the office. Also we tune off when Edith comes on and tune back when Scott comes on so it gets abit much tuning on and off all day.

For most of us its Moyles. I believe the vast majority of us would tune into Moyles even if he moved to Radio 2 (god forbid).

If all breakfast shows were crap then I think people would just put a CD on or something.

steve walker wrote:People get use to tuning in to Radio 1 for the day?

I'm not sure why people would tune into a show that they don't like, but they could just tune in later, so presumably if they are tuning in to Moyles then they must like him, or at least not dislike him.

steve walker wrote:or the fact that Radio 1 have such a massive following?

Why would people tune in just because other people tune in?

steve walker wrote:I honestly believe it's not all Chris Moyles as he's not that good. That's all.

You can't believe it because you don't think he's good? So you're assuming, that because you don't like Chris Moyles (and ignoring the fact that other people in your office do like him) that no-one else likes him either and the popularity of his show is because of some other obscure reason? I think that's called talking out of your arse.

Judging by previous Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenters and their audience figures, I'd say it is down to Moyles.

I don't hate him Moyles, just can't see the attraction, that's all.

Moyles couldn't go to Radio 2 anyway, the're not going to get rid on Terry are they with his listening figures :D

I have committments which I prioritise more highly. And I have met famous people before, quite often. I'll leave the ligging to the star struck.

So has Steve Walker used this forum to conduct an experiment to find out why some people like Moyles and some people don't. Why couldn't he have just asked the other people in this office of his?
