I hate poor grammar and I don't like text speak, but in reality it depends on where I am reading it. I don't mind stuff on here being grammatically a bit dodgy at times, I agree with boboff, the content is the important bit, as long as the presentation isn't totally indecipherable. I don't think there is any place for text-speak though, not even in texts. My biggest complaint is that the level of grammatical presentation in the media is becoming so dreadful. Radio 1 Newsbeat is a case in point - appalling at times. Even more significant than that though is that newspaper reporting is now so bad, in terms of grammatical presentation. Local papers especially are really terrible these days.
