I didn't hear the Surgery. I hope that a solid line was drawn between forced marriage, which is obviously completely unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated and arranged marriage. The traditional and cultural convention of arranged marriage really works, but it relies on agreement, consent and the families having the best interests of the prospective bride and groom firmly at the head of their priorities - which traditionally is how it should work. Somehow in some cultures this seems to have been distorted beyond recognition.

Apologies if anyone already knew this, but I just put radio 1 on and realised aled was narrating a show about the start of dj's - it's called radio 1 stories. Thought I was just hearing things at first. 8O

If you like The Surgery, I humbly recommend checking out an episode or two of "Loveline" -- the show that The Surgery is based on.

A while back, when Jimmy Carr was on, he mentioned that both he and Chris listened to Loveline when they were in the U.S. of A.
Classic Loveline (1995 -2005) is thought by many radio fans to be one of the funniest shows of all time.
