Yes, but your opinions on food are akin to those of an alien, so they don't count.

I'm eating more vegetables now, I'm making a proper effort. I don't like it, but I am.

They are a pulse, not a vegetable. But they're good for you.

What about baked beans?

Well, baked beans count as one of your five a day. I'm not sure if beans are classed strictly as vegetables, but they are good for you.

Leguminous vegetable are vegetables with roots which produce small sacs which leech nitrogen into the surrounding soil. Beans fall into this category. In horticultural terms they are therefore vegetables, but in culinary terms they are pulses.

If he'd known a bit more French, he would have been able to work it out. I never thought beans were veg. until the second I saw the word "legumes" above.

True enough - but "leguminous" in English doesn't correspond exactly with the French "legume" which as you say simply means "vegetable". Only certain vegetables with the nitrogen-producing roots are termed "leguminous" in English, but in French, all vegetables are called legumes.

I didn't mean crisps and chips by the way.

Today I had that kind of sweet off-whitish colour thing that tastes almost like a sweet carrot. I've also managed to mix cauliflower and broccoli with my meals. Reluctantly.

Well, it was actually designed by Facebook.. Adam just added the pictures and words.

I know! Anna got me on it now, too. I meant that he did such a good job that Chris and Aled even think so.

I don't entirely understand the whole facebook thing, but the Moyles page has over 42,000 fans compared to Radio One's 3,000.

Well done to those involved.

I should probably learn more about this facebook nonsense. I want to be poked*.
