Console isn't mad. He is a highly intelligent young man you should be showing respect to.

And, if a person only wishes to listen to Moyles, he/she is perfectly entitled to do so. :-)

Why are the last Ballbag and 'steve walker' posts repeated?

Don't be rude, leave Viv and Console alone. Although I don't understand the submarine thing, kind of reinforces Baggie's point there...... .And Console is not Aled, Aled is Aled and posts here regularly.

I've always thought that Steve Wrights show was a very similar format to Moyles. Granted, its somewhat toned down for the Radio 2 audience, but its basically the same.

Consoles point on trying to listen to everything else out there - I can't listen to commercial radio at all now. There is very little other than Moyles that I will actually concentrate on listening to - others include Colin Murray on Radio One in the evenings and Russell Brand on a Saturday night on Radio Two (unconventional, but it works somehow). The rest of the time, Radio One can be on, but im not really paying attention to it.

ballbag wrote:Actually Console, I've often wondered. What do you do for a living?

Console changes the bulbs in Britains lighthouses and keeps our boats safe in times of need. He also replaces the fuses.

You've just done something a bit "odd" here : "spooky".. I won't explain why though.

It can't be that obvious if you can't see it. And I wouldn't define myself as a 'mad fan', I'm a regular listener. I don't generally read the blogs, or watch all of the videos, or even look at all of the pictures; I just listen to and enjoy the shows.

What exactly is a "mad fan" anyway? That would suggest to me someone who actually stalks The Moyles, Steve.

I'm a very regular listener, but I don't EVER read blogs/ watch vidoes, etc...

Yudster. All those things you said about Moyles are mostly correct. You obvoiusly love Moyles and hate Mills, that's OK. But if you love Moyles and his show sooo much why didn't you go to Gag Idol? Surely a true fan would go, esspecially on your door step? You we're made to tell a joke?

Viv. Agree to a point with you, but listening to other stations makes great listening and not the same tape that radio 1 plays. You must agree the same music gets played over and over again. My example is "Bleeding Love" How many times a day???????

Personally, Steve, the playlist does not bother me... I can happily listen to stuff over and over... and there's always different chattering/different DJ personalities in between the CD's :-) The only time I will literally switch R1 off is when the "Foo-Fighters" are being played.

Most of the local commercial stations here also have a basic playlist so the music played is repeated throughout the day as it is on Radio 1. I've always felt though, that the local stations are playing the music that Radio 1 was playing about a month before them. That said, you can always find some "Golden Oldies" getting spun somewhere, but thats not really what I'm after.

Viv, your obviously slightly bonkers.

You can listen to "Bleeding Love" about six times a day but turn off when the Foo Fighters come on :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D You can't be serious!

Console have a good Moyles day I better get some work done and also I'm missing Coxy!!

I'm not sure why you would think I "love" or "hate" anyone, from what I have written here. I enjoy listening to Moyles, I don't (currently) enjoy listening to Scott Mills. As for Gag Idol, it didn't appeal, but I didn't realise I was violating any laws of listenership by not wanting to spend my evening with a load of drunken students.

Another reason I enjoy Moyles' show is because he doesn't play too much music.

How does this make me "bonkers"? I don't like "rock sounding" music, and the Foo Fighters have a habit of yelling their way through songs, which I find quite distressing. "Bleeding Love" is a BALLAD. :-)

"Another reason I enjoy Moyles' show is because he doesn't play too much music." - I suggest Five LIve, That's OK

Your posts have very good grammar (just a compliment), I didn't think it was full of students, quite judgemental! a friend of a friend went and there was a mix bag there and a very good night. I thought it was quite strange you not going.

Timp.
I joined today and read previous posts. Thats all.

Viv.
I just find it very hard to listen to songs like "Bleeding Love" six times a day when they could play alot more new bands etc.
