Kudos to Moyles for sticking to his guns. I actually saw the RSS header for the blog 'An audio blog by David Gest', so when I heard to show through Listen Again later, I thought all the threats to cancel were just Moyles bluffing. Good to see that he wasn't.

Hey guys, newbie here. Longtime Moyles listener.

I also have to admire Chris for what he did. It would have made for a really entertaining interview but if the guy no-shows two weeks on the run, then it doesn't do much for his credibility (at least in the eyes and ears of the listening public).

I'm working today and it's a shame he doesn't do Saturdays. Ah well, I s'pose I could take the podcast with me :)

ooh. Scary drink. Is it true the taurine in it is derived from bulls testosterone in some way, or is that just an urban myth?

No apology necessary, charlalottie. We all have days like that, and I can sympathise. A nicely mixed white russian before bed would take care of your lack of sleep :)

For the record, I didn't realise about the avatar because I didn't read the forum rules (and I've only myself to blame for that), as I use the same avatar on other message boards with no avatar size limits, so apologies if I rubbed anyone up the wrong way.

Now then, where were we?

Does this explain his advice to Charlalottie or is it just a coincidence?

I think he did the right thing, David Guest is awful, his show makes me cringe.

Would have been more impressed if Chris had done his own dirty work instead of sending Aled to do it on his behalf!

Nah, he did the right thing by sending Aled. After all, Gest & Co couldn't be bothered arriving on time, why should Chris personally deliver the message? It's all about courtesy.

Besides, it's probably done Aled some good. He needs bigger cojones and whenever Chris puts him in an uncomfortable situation (like this one or raiding Capital Radio), it helps him build some character.

I think it might have been a bit awkward for Chris to go to reception or whatever and "do his own dirty work" seeing as how he was actually supposed to be presenting a live radio show at the time.

That would only work if he knew exactly how long it would take to do the aforementioned dirty work. Under the circumstances, it would have been inappropriate for him - whereas it is probably reasonable to aske the producer to do it.
