Another great episode, especially the tasks for the limo which they done at the track e.g paintballing etc.
I do think the Leamar bit was scripted, but still funny.

I agree with that, like what BBC online did with Jo Whiley last summer.

It was a brilliant show, It was brilliant when the steering wheel popped off for Lemar!

It was the funnyest episode ever (well maybe besides the episode wen they were driving Polski Fiat arround and then were droping it from a massive crain) Loved the pull in sistem in the limo and Chris' evacuations through the boot. Brill.
Btw How many episodes there were in the series of TOP GEAR?
Coz i thought the new series just started and that was the last episode + they don't know when the show is back?

There were 6 episodes, there are usually more but I think it's been cut short because of Hammond's accident. The voice over at the end did say that it would be back in Summer though, even though the guys themselves didn't know

They could be in exactly the same series as the one thats just ended.

Perhaps you're right, and maybe it's just me in my old cynical ways.

But the parle they always have at the start of the show is becoming more and more "set up" and scripted...... almost lazily so (I'm aware that lazily probably isn't a word).

The "stunts" are too, you knew straight away that one of the cars would break in half but still carry on, and how many of those bollards were aimed at I wonder?

Good show though, but I just think it's becoming a victim of it's own popularity.

I did wonder how legal it was to drive a car that was broken in half through the streets of London.

Indeed, you'd imagine that they'd have needed some form of dispensation, which would have of course required prior knowledge.

In my old job when we had to drive "mules" about (camouflaged proto-type cars) on the public roads, we had to fill in all manner of forms, a process that took days in some instances. I imagine the risk assessment and health and safety forms for a two wheeled car are probably quite immense.

But hey ho, I'm just having a cynical Monday morn.

ohhh, my cousin used to do that - drive prototypes about

Tis indeed an exciting thing to do, you get papped all over the place......... well the car does anyway.

However I was taking one through Coventry city centre once when the thing broke down in the middle of a massive gyratory system. In these instances the protocol is to get a massive sheet out of the boot and cover the car until it can get towed. So there we were, stood at the side of the road for about an hour with a car shaped blanket holding up the rush hour traffic. It was really embarrassing, we looked like some sort of art instillation....... got tons of abuse too.

I liked jamelia's dress. Lemarr was acting, he was very good. Moyles was very funny. Of course they all knew what it was about and were set up and prepared, the BBC isn't completely stupid. Not the best challenge they have done though.

hmmm, im pretty sure they used to disguise the new cars as old ones. I think it was Jaguar he worked for. I dunno - he does something for F1 now though!

Does he have a name? That's where I worked, and you're right, the camouflage is padded up to make the new ones look like the old ones.

No, he is nameless.

We can call him, The Loose Cousin - although that probably wasn't what it said on his name badge!

Great show, really enjoyed it, very funny indeed. The scripting is becoming more obvious, but it is still funny, rather like Laura's diary I feel,
*ducks as baggie starts rant*

*Pause*

Ok, another really funny thing, watching Fame Academy, Barry Starts to sing, and little 6 year old Boboff girl, says "look daddy it's Chris Moyles" I did look twice, and have to say apart from the hair, and the Beard, there are definate similarities, I am sure after the Bill Cosby comparison on Richard & Judy last week, that Barry would have been a better famous Morph.

How was my weekend ? Fine, I swept the children with the Chimney, Mrs Boboff was working and not happy with the Soot covered offspring and Lounge ! There were lots of Mary Poppins numbers eminating from Boboff mansion I can tell you !

Moyles and Clarkson were legends, how many ballards and stuff did they hit though?

And Billie Piper in a see-through top = what a show!

complete with Dr Who references (at the beginning Clarkson pointed at Hammond and said "we've got his assistant, Billie Piper".

Really funny when the stretch panda/longboat broke in half.

I'm not saying that at all gas man. What I was leading to was the fact that now that it's become popular with the general viewing public, it's become less of a "motor" show, and more of a "family entertainment" show.

In my eyes, that aint a good thing.

I'm sure they do Mr Ed.... but I'm not the BBC........ I'm a Top Gear/car fan............perhaps a very lowly one in the eyes of auntie beeb, but a fan none the less.

I think they still have enough car content, admittedly it does seem a bit of a support act to the challenges and the star in a reasonably price car etc.
