I have to agree. It's sunny this week, yay! Now get over it.

It's a toss up between the weather and the amazingly tedious and pointless Olympic Torch coverage for the most boring segments in this week's shows so far. How Chris can get so excited about watching a random person running with a torch every day is beyond me.

This thread makes me realise that no matter what the team do they will never please everyone and someone will always complain about something.

I positively dislike, almost hate, this weather but I accept that I am in the minority and that most people love it and will want to talk about it. I cant stand it when weather forecasters try to tell me how 'glorious' the weather is though. It's their job to tell me what the weather is going to be, not to tell me whether to like it or not.

But no, I cant say that it has annoyed me hearing the team talking about it yet. But I have enjoyed the past half a dozen shows after falling out of love with the show for a few months so I want to be more positive about it anyway!

They're having a positive 'Good News' themed week on one of our tv stations here.

It's crap.

I'm first to admit I don't like the inaccurate and small detailed weather, as well as the awful news and sport presentation. So I just switch off or go else where for news/weather (usually local BBC radio) and then come back, no big deal.

So if you feel that strongly about it don't moan, just switch off for a couple off minutes and come back, its that simple.

What are you referring to here? The Moyles show or general news/weather/sport updates on other stations/shows?

I meant that I don't like R1 news/sport/weather presentation on the show, so I switch off/go somewhere else for the duration then I tune back to the show. This was as an example as how to deal with the Olympic Torch Relay feature, if you don't like the feature just switch off/tune away until its finished then come back again.

How do you know its finished though?
I do that with about 95% of the music & hit the mute button on my wee radio, But whenever i (usually inaccurately) judge that the music should be finished, i can almost guarantee that they'll be in the middle of, or coming to the end of what sounds like the funniest or off the wall discussion they've had in years.

Oh & i'm not that enthused about all the Olympic torch crap either.

I admit It is guess work, but mostly don't seem to miss much. I also mute the crappy playlist guff and as mentioned tune away or switch off during news and weather, all works fine for me and hardly miss anything

Newsbeat has always been lowest common denominator stuff, like Newsround, not just Chris' show, all of them - particularly the extended lunch and dinnertime bulletins. I would not be at all surprised if they mentioned the Cameron at some point with the words "the Prime Minister - he's the guy who's the head of the British government..."

Exactly it's designed for those who find The Sun too difficult to comprehend...reminds me of my favourite Newsbeat story about a prisoner escape in Afghanistan in which the inmates had been given mobile phones and the keys to their cells. The reporter then needed to advise us listening that this made it easier to escape!

This is before you get into the people they interview that make everyone under 30 sound like they have trouble remembering to breath in and out.

Sat and today are up
