Anybody else getting bored with the teams daily "pushes" to get the Facebook page to a certain number? I don't really see the point of it, apart from the fact it's there to massage Chris ego! He's already stated several times he doesn't have, or get, facebook.

These 20 minutes on the show could surely be spent doing something else. Anything else!!

They always make it a laugh anyway, so I'm not bothered by it. Stuff like making the video gives something for everyone, though the process of Aled getting it on the Page was far more funny.

What's the point of it? I'm aware 1.5mil is a nice and round number but does it really matter? 1.45mil itself is a good number, don't see why they are killing themselves for the extra numbers.

As for the topic, don't even use Facebook so couldn't care less. I'm sure they'll either get bored of mentioning the number of likes (or whatever it is) and move onto something else soon enough.

Because they can report they have over 1.5million Likes which sounds good plus I'd imagine they set themselves internal goals.
Personally, I think the more social media awareness and exclusive content the better.

I am not interested in facebook, so I was getting a bit bored with the push for 1.5 million, but the video made it a bit more interesting.

I'm not sure if it is an ego thing or not. Ever since it was mentioned that he had sighned a two and a half year contract he has mentioned the fact that the listeneing figures have gone down. But he does say that it's the school summer holidays and so less people will willingly get up early (understandable).
This facebook push is one of two things in my eyes: 1 = It's just an Aled geek thing or 2 = He's trying to proof to the bosses that he was not a gamble when giving him such a long term contract.

FB is such a great way to get practically free advertising I can't blame them for pushing the 1.5million. Its no coincidence practically every large consumer facing business has facebook pages these days.

I listened to Tuesday's show during night-shift and it just annoyed me after the tedious link I think it was with them pushing it and doing the video etc. And they're annoyed that it's going so slow etc. I think the reason in my opinion it's going so slow is that some people are sick to death of hearing about it and most people who care have already liked. I am not apart of Facebook so it means nothing to me anyway
