I think the name can be spelled in two different ways, but the correct spelling of Mr Ross' name is with the A. Just like Nicola can also be spelled Nichola, but my birth certificate says Nicola, so there's only one correct spelling of my name!

Mr Yudster is called Jonathan and is firm on the point that people who spell it "Jonathon" and then insist that there are two ways to spell it are merely clutching at an excuse for their inability to spell their own name.

Maybe it's more that their parents couldn't spell? I was at school with a lad called Micheal and he said it was just cos his dad spelled it wrong when he went to register the birth...
