There you go, I knew there was no worry of him renewing his contract, as I mentioned above the last major Daytime show to finish was Mark & Lard's show & they had a big lead up to the final show & on the show itself they had quite a few famous people leave messages of "condolences" during the show (David Bowie, Coldplay, Damon Albarn & Kylie Minogue to name a few).

Quite frankly their axing left a gaping hole in Radio 1's schedule that has never been filled, in my opinion, when Chris does eventually go (which isn't for at least a year) there'll be two gaping holes in the schedules & I don't think I'll ever listen to Radio 1 again, unless they get in someone as good as Chris (or Mark & Lard)

Totally agree, he has at least another year, and unless they get someone as good as Chris when he does go which they I dont think they will no more listening to Radio 1 because Chris is the only thing Radio 1 have got worth listening too.

Might as well go for that 10year mark now I reckon. If he leaves next year he will only have 2 1/2 years to go till a decade. That show (Jan 5th 2014) would be amazing.

Although Ive probably got Aled worried just thinking about the preparations that will have to go into it.

My friend who gives me a lift into work doesn't like talking on the radio in the morning so Moyles very rarely gets put on, she flicks between Capital FM, Kiss 100, Absolute, Heart 106.2 & Magic 105.4, of those the only ones that are half decent are Absolute (Music wise) and Capital Fm (chatter wise, and even then it's still poor). Nothing come close to Moyles in my opinion, if Tarrant was still on then there wouldn't be a problem for me, but other than that the competition is dross.

The Chris Moyles Show is the only thing I listen to on Radio 1. Maybe I'm just getting old, but the rest of the shows annoy the ass off me (I'm only 35 )

Mills is bearable, but the rest suck. Radio 2 for me when Chris is done.

It's great news. I agree with neebs, when The Chris Moyles Show ends there will be nothing worth listening to on Radio 1. Unless someone new and exciting explodes on the scene but knowing Radio 1's track record of ticking boxes and recycling crap this isn't going to happen.
